Kimberley Community Legal Services is one of Australia's leading remote civil law practices, dedicated to ensuring access to justice for all communities across the magnificent Kimberley Region. KCLS is a reflective, community- and client-oriented practice, working closely with predominantly Aboriginal client communities. We serve our clients from offices in Kununurra and Broome, with regular outreach to all major towns across the region, and periodic visits to many other communities on country.

We are seeking a full-time Client Service Officer to be part of our Broome team. Our Client Service Officers provide reception, secretarial and administrative support to our legal staff. As our Broome CSO, you will be handling day-to-day client contact at reception, assisting with preparation and maintenance of client files, and ensuring our four lawyers & social workers have office and administrative support.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a client-centred legal environment and possess excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative. The applicant will be committed to meeting the needs of the most disadvantaged in the community, with the ability to engage clients empathetically.

This is a full-time role, with usual hours between 0830 - 1630 Monday - Friday. It is a contract position, initially for six months, with potential for a longer-term contract dependent on funding.
