We are looking for an energetic person who loves working in Aged Care to join our Social Support Team at Karabi. This position will be based at our Seven Hills office, working 18 hours 3 days a week. The aim of the Social Support Worker is to to plan and deliver services to the frail older persons and their carers, manage and develop volunteer services, promote the needs of the frail elderly and younger persons with a disability and advance the interests of the community through networking and representation of Karabi Community & Development Services on committees and through interagency meetings.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications/and or experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with frail aged people.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in working with and training volunteers
  • Report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently whilst being part of a larger team
  • Own car, comprehensive insurance and drivers licence
