Injury Matters is a not-for-profit organisation, incorporated in Western Australia, whose purpose is to prevent injury, reduce its impact and support those affected.

About the Opportunity

The Injury Prevention Team is responsible for the delivery of injury prevention programs and services to prevent injury and support recovery in Western Australia.

This is an administrative position responsible for managing community-focused injury prevention activities, and supporting community-focused injury prevention projects that sit within larger programs and services.

These programs and services are designed to contribute to a population level reduction in injury rates in Western Australia.

About You

We are seeking an injury prevention assistant to support the implementation of injury prevention activities. You have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health Promotion, Health Science, Social Marketing, Community Development, Behavioural Sciences, or other related discipline.
  • Understanding of injury prevention evidence-based strategies.
  • Understanding of stakeholder and community engagement principles and practice.
  • Understanding of how to design, deliver and evaluate injury prevention consumer focused services and programs.
  • Understanding of the principles of research and evaluation.
  • Willingness to draft speeches and undertake public speaking activities such as conference presentations.
  • Able to demonstrate report writing skills.
