About the Role

This is an opportunity for a software engineer with proven commercial experience as a frontend or backend engineer to build elegant tools and workflows that simplify complex problems and empower our membership to live healthier and rewarding lives. The ideal candidate will have strong React or Golang experience, be ready to pick up other technologies as needed and work cross-functionally to gather requirements. You will be able to obtain feedback and build new systems to improve daily workflows for all coworkers. This is your chance to work with your technology of choice and an opportunity to help us scale the next generation of digital therapies.

Day-to-day the role includes:

  • Develop internal tools to be leveraged by the cross-functional team
  • Maintain the Daybreak application
  • Support the development of backend services in Golang or Frontend mobile and web applications in React.
  • Collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
  • Solve complex problems with simple, user-friendly tools
  • Distill engineering, business, & operational needs into tools
  • Build secure and scalable distributed solutions
  • Hold strong technical responsibility over the codebases you maintain
  • Communicate clearly with all internal stakeholders about technical solutions
  • Bring intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and influence the products being built

The ideal candidate for this role has:

  • React or React Native
  • Golang
  • Postgresql
  • RabbitMQ (or other message broker experience)
  • AWS
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes

Bonus points for experience with:

  • Developing health-related applications
