headspace is the national youth mental health foundation supporting the mental, emotional and physical well being of young people aged 12 to 25 and their families.

360 health + community is the lead agency for three headspace centres; headspace Fremantle, headspace Rockingham, and headspace Mandurah. Working across the Southern Corridor allows us to collaborate internally and externally, share skills and knowledge, and create robust governance.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Clinical Team Leads to join our headspace team on a full-time basis. Our opportunities are available within Fremantle and Rockingham sites.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or other allied health discipline recognised by the tertiary mental health services sector, and eligibility for or membership of an appropriate professional body
  • At least 3 years’ experience in direct clinical service provision
  • Experience in delivering services to mental health services or programs, including being able to respond effectively to crisis and high risk situations when required
  • Experience with young people aged 15-25 would be highly advantageous

The headspace Clinical Team Lead will work under the direction of the headspace manager to lead, develop, implement, oversee and coordinate the clinical operations and future development of clinical services at headspace.

The incumbent will work closely and collaboratively with other members of the 360 Health + Community team, the headspace consortium and the wide community ensuring all activities are in accordance with the grant agreement and direction provided by the CEO, headspace consortium and youth reference group.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate the delivery of headspace clinical services
  • Identify service gaps and work with headspace and 360 management to implement innovative services to address identified gaps
  • Coordinate an integrated care approach through agency liaison and shared case management of clients who have complex issues
  • Liaise with line manager in relation to complex individual cases, including ‘at risk/ clients as necessary
  • Complete Incident reporting compliant with legislative, policy and contractual requirements
  • Participate in the development, review and implementation of clinical and organisational policies and procedures
  • Maintain an awareness of sector/community changes and trends, ensuring existing services are up to date
  • Develop and manage projects in consultation with management and as required
  • Deliver services according to contractual requirements
  • Contribute to reports to funding bodies regarding program performance
  • Manage and supervise clinical staff to ensure performance against agreed objectives and standards
