  • Senior Lawyer – 5+ years PQE
  • Corporate/commercial focus
  • Boutique Sydney CBD practice

Chalk & Behrendt is one of Australia’s leading specialist legal practices with an unparalleled reputation in acting for Indigenous people and their organisations in relation to native title, land rights and heritage; property planning and environment; and commercial, corporate, economic development and governance. We are proudly Supply Nation certified as an Indigenous business.

Chalk & Behrendt undertakes work for clients from many parts of Australia which is as important and challenging as anything the law can offer. The workplace is small and harmonious, the relationships with our clients rewarding, and the friendships between current and former staff are strong. As a values-based organisation, we are passionate about offering a work environment which supports the needs and aspirations of our people as well as our clients.

While we seldom advertise, recent and planned developments have resulted in an exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer (with 5 or more years PQE) to join the practice. The position would suit lawyers with large or medium firm experience with a commitment to social justice who are seeking greater autonomy, more client access, greater flexibility and the chance to make a difference. We are keen to hear from lawyers with corporate, commercial, governance and/or planning and property law experience interested in applying their skills in support of Indigenous people and organisations pursuing their economic development aspirations.
