As a part of this incredible work, the Program Design and Advisory Services team draws on our deep understanding of people on low incomes, innovative product and service design, and highly effective program delivery. Our specialist advisors, consultants and analysts work across sectors to provide advice on building the financial resilience and financial wellbeing of individuals and businesses and providing financial services to people on low incomes across Australia and internationally.

What will be your key focus?

This is a key research and project coordination role within the Program Design and Advisory Services team for a 12 month maximum term. The Project Analyst will be responsible for both providing logistical support and research assistance for a number of different projects, as well as leading different projects where required. The role will involve project and stakeholder management, collecting research data, carrying out ecosystem and stakeholder mapping, and undertaking data analysis and report-writing.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in humanities, social sciences or related areas
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the planning and implementation of research projects, with excellent organisation and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis; familiarity in data analysis through SPSS and/or NVivo will be highly regarded
  • High level report writing and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
  • The capacity and flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial capability, financial literacy and microfinance
  • The capability and commitment to work in alignment with the values of Good Shepherd Microfinance
