Our services include Kids Helpline, training and employment services for young people, parent education and specialist accommodation for families. The Smart, Skilled and Hired Program works with long term unemployed and under employed young people (aged 15-24), who present with complex and multiple barriers to employment. The program provides practical support in the form of education, training and mentoring, as well as addressing barriers such as health, stable accommodation and the need for suitable clothes, tools and equipment for work.
As Program Manager you will manage the service in line with program theory and the service model and will be fully conversant with the detail of the funding agreement. You will manage and lead the team to achieve quality client outcomes and program performance targets. The focus over the next 12 months will be on achieving placement and outcome targets.
You will have proven experience in managing a youth employment service and in managing others to achieve performance measures and program budgets. Experience with caseload analysis and a good understanding of labour market conditions in the Western Sydney area is essential. You will have strong reporting and analysis skills.
We have current funding for this program until 31 July 2020, however we are hopeful of receiving further funding beyond this date. The initial contract will be until 31 August 2020.
If you are looking for an opportunity where you can be innovative, drive change and have a positive impact on the lives of young people we would love to hear from you. We offer attractive employment conditions including access to salary packaging arrangements and paid parental leave. Find your place at yourtown.
