About the Centre

The State Office is home to YMCA Victoria support functions being Payroll, Business Systems, Finance, Marketing and Engagement and the People & Culture Team. The office is situated in the vibrant Box Hill area, which is host to many amenities; food, transport (Train & Buses) and parks.

Key Elements of the Role

The Investigative Analyst – Safeguarding Children and Young People (SCYP) is a key member of the Risk, Safety, Environment and Quality team (RSEQ), which sits within the Shared Services Group of YMCA Victoria. This is a newly created position which will report to the SCYP Manager.

The role of the Investigative Analyst promises plenty of variety and opportunity to make a positive impact in the business. You will liaise with internal stakeholders, government bodies and professional organisations on Safeguarding Children and Young People (SCYP) matters. You will provide SCYP guidance, diligence and consistency to the organisation and influence a positive SCYP culture across the YMCA.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience conducting workplace investigations with a particular focus on safeguarding children and reportable conduct
  • Extensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and licensing standards
  • Extensive experience managing a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting reporting requirements and analysis of information in a timely and comprehensive manner
  • Experience in presenting information (prepare reports, rationale and recommendations clearly and concisely to all levels of management)


  • Working With Children, Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate (completion online prior to commencement)
  • Relevant degree and qualification in investigation or related field (e.g. Certificate lV in Government Investigations)
  • Relevant industry experience (At least 2 years) & knowledge of industry trends
