About Women’s Health West

Women’s Health West (WHW) provides specialist family violence services to women and their children. We also run prevention programs that promote equity and justice for women and girls in Melbourne’s west. WHW is one of Victoria’s only organisations that provides services and programs that encompass the family violence continuum - from primary prevention, to early intervention and response.

Our work has actively contributed to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of women and their children in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1988. Due to an increase in demand for our services, WHW has experienced considerable growth over the past two years.

About the role

Currently WHW is looking to appoint a permanent part-time (3-5 days a week) Family Violence Case Manager – Outreach to join our Integrated Family Violence Services team located at Footscray.

The successful incumbent will be required to:

  • Develop safety strategies and case plans that include housing, legal, health and other assistance to support long-term safety.
  • Assess immediate and ongoing risk of family violence to clients and work with them and other agencies to manage that risk
  • Provide court support and place-based service delivery
  • Work closely with external services including Victoria Police, partner agencies and community services

The role reports to the Team Leader - Case Management. The role is paid at WHW EA 2017 Level 4, pay point negotiable ($63K to $68K ) + 9.5% superannuation.
