Outstanding opportunity to take a key role in the implementation of the Early Childhood Intervention Services.
Wanslea has been selected as a Partner in the Community to deliver Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services across multiple West Australian locations.
Community Capacity Building Officer
Wanslea is seeking a passionate and engaging individual with a degree qualification in health promotion, community development or related discipline with demonstrated experience in designing community engagement frameworks for health, education and/or community organisations.
The Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach supports children who have a developmental delay or disability and their families/carers. Supporting families to help children develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life is a fundamental part of the ECEI approach. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of a Community Capacity Building Plan incorporating community education, partnerships and community building strategies in line with the NDIA’s program requirements working collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders to develop region wide initiatives that are consistent with meeting identified needs in the community and the objectives of the service.
Ideally, you will have a good awareness and understanding of the functional and social impact of disability and the importance of social inclusion with a demonstrated commitment and ability to maintain an ethical, inclusive and nonjudgmental approach to disability.
Wanslea has a strong commitment to providing great working conditions within a dynamic and supportive team with a competitive salary. Additionally, you’ll have plenty of opportunity for professional development. If you have a genuine passion for supporting and empowering children and their families, and a sound understanding of the early childhood development and disability fields, then don’t miss out on this outstanding opportunity!
Wanslea is an inclusive employer. We welcome and encourage applications from suitably qualified culturally and linguistically diverse candidates, people who may have a disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and sexually and gender diverse people.
