The Legal and Dispute Resolution Branch oversees the Commission's intervention and investigation functions and provides legal advice, undertakes legal research and contributes to the development of resources to facilitate compliance with Victoria's key human rights laws. The branch also provides a best practice dispute resolution service, resolving complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, vilification and victimisation.
We are looking for an experienced lawyer with management experience to head up our Legal and Dispute Resolution Branch. The Head of Legal and Dispute Resolution is responsible for managing and leading the Branch in providing the Commission's dispute resolution, investigation and intervention functions as well as other legal services. The role also has a Commission-wide focus and will play an integral role in the strategic thinking and planning that enables the Commission to meet its regulatory role and strategic objectives.
