The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest and most-loved charities, helping thousands of Australians every year find hope in the midst of all kinds of personal hardship. The Salvation Army offers the opportunity to use your professional skills and expertise to make a real difference in the lives of people who need help most. In January 2019 it became one unified organisation with an aligned vision, mission and values and one national strategy. For the first time, TSA has created an Internal Communications Function, providing strategic and operational internal communications expertise across the organisation.
As a direct result of this transformation, a new national opportunity is available for a motivated individual to join our newly formed Internal Communications team as Senior Internal Communications Advisor. The Internal Communications team is responsible for connecting all salvos across the organisation through the development of engaging internal communications channels and content. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, the Senior Internal Communications Advisor will play an important role in the development and delivery of the TSA Internal Communications Strategy; including coherent and cohesive communications policies and procedures. The Senior Internal Communications Advisor will also partner with portfolios across TSA and deliver a range of internal communications guidance and support including development and delivery of communications plans to ensure a consistent approach to internal communications.
The role of Senior Internal Communications Advisor requires someone who understands the value and power internal communications bring to an organisation and is capable of developing meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
