The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are currently seeking a Small Business Product Manager to join our growing team.

Reporting to the National Manager, Corporate Partnerships and working with a dedicated and passionate team, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision. The primary role of this function is to develop and deliver a new product offering to support the acquisition and retention of small business supporters to generate income for The Smith Family. The role covers the entire product lifecycle – from early stage ideation, through to implementation and iteration based on key success metrics.

A day in the life of a Small Business Product Manager might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to the development of a strategy and marketing / product plans to build a portfolio of small business supporters, working closely with the National Manager, Corporate Partnerships
  • Maintaining relationships and communication with key internal stakeholders particularly in relation to ensuring smooth processes
  • Balancing the needs of small business v. corporate partners while ensuring consistency across the business in relation to the provision of “value”
  • Developing effective internal processes to manage acquisition and management of small business supporters

It takes a special kind of person to be our Small Business Product Manager. Our successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proven product management expertise
  • Development and delivery of new product life cycles which have achieved results (eg) recruitment of customers; increased revenue; loyalty growth; development of new audiences; increased brand awareness; retention of customers/clients
  • End to end project management
  • MS Office skills
  • Highly-organised
