The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Communities for Children Facilitating Partner (CfCFP) to join our team in Katherine, NT

Reporting to the General Manager and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this is a unique opportunity to work for 12 months within the Katherine community, continuing to drive positive change in a rewarding leadership role. It’s an opportunity that in turn, drives your continued understanding of Australian communities and opens up broader career opportunities.

This pivotal role has primary responsibility for the management and delivery of the Communities for Children Facilitating Partner initiative, and is also responsible for local representation of The Smith Family and site management. You’ll be responsible for leading the delivery of the key initiative outcomes and guiding principles of the Katherine region CfCFP funded by Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS). You’ll also drive key relationships through the effective establishment and engagement of the local Communities for Children Committee and developing purposeful relationships with key external stakeholders in Katherine.

It takes a special kind of person to be our Project Manager, CfCFP. Our successful candidate will bring relevant Tertiary qualifications and have solid experience in leading the scoping, design and implementation of strategic community projects. Most of all, your passion for community and your strong community leadership will give you the energy, drive and credibility to make a difference.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake a National Police Check and a Working with Children’s Check. You’ll also need to hold a current NT drivers licence.We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to principles of cultural diversity.
