Every day of the year, Sacred Heart Mission assist hundreds of people who are experiencing homelessness or living in poverty to find shelter, food, care and support. We are in this for the long haul - we are committed to making a sustainable difference in people’s lives. Everyone is welcome at our table.
Our Sacred Heart Local program supports people in the community through Home Care Packages (HCP) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) packages. Our clients are located in Inner Southern Metro & Northern Metro areas.
Sacred Heart Local deliver accessible, responsive, evidence informed and innovative services with this client group in the community to safely maintain their familiar environment for as long as possible, and foster independence where possible.
A typical day will involve arriving at a client’s home and assisting them with shopping, meal preparation, self-care, cleaning and driving clients to various appointments. You’ll be facilitating daily living for our clients which is the key to maintaining their housing and independence.
You’ll be providing companionship to interesting people and may encounter clients with complexities, such as social isolation. Working independently, your strong alignment to the values of Sacred Heart Mission will drive you make a real difference to the lives of those we support.
