Sacred Heart Mission provides a range of programs and services for adults of all ages and backgrounds who are experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and social exclusion.

Since opening our doors in 1982 to provide a welcoming meal for local people in need, we have evolved into an independent non-profit organisation renowned for effectively responding to the needs of thousands of Melbourne’s most vulnerable people.

At the heart of everything we do is our mission to build people's capacity to participate more fully in community life by addressing the underlying causes of persistent disadvantage and social exclusion.

The role

Sacred Heart Mission is seeking an enthusiastic Corporate Relations volunteer for 6 - 8 hours per week (preferably a set day or two half days to be agreed) in our St Kilda junction office for an initial period of 6 months.

The role would suit an undergraduate student with a strong interest in corporate fundraising, corporate social responsibility or marketing.

The role requires a degree of autonomy; research skills and database management ability to assist the Corporate Relations Manager develop Sacred Heart Mission’s corporate fundraising and engagement campaigns in order to strengthen our current corporate relationships to develop long-term partnerships and advocates.

A high proficiency in English is required to be considered for this position.

The types of tasks required:

  • Help maintain accurate records on the database (Raisers Edge)
  • Proposal writing
  • Research and analysis for developing a prospects matrix
  • Research into best-practice CSR programs 
  • Other duties as required
