  • Part Time Positions

SOS Health Foundation is a small not-for-profit organisation committed to having a positive long-term impact on the health of people in remote indigenous communities, through providing access to allied health services. We have a full time Physiotherapist on Palm Island and operate a Volunteer Program where volunteer Physios, OT’s, Podiatrists, Dieticians and other allied health professionals provide services which are normally hard for people on Palm to access.

Who are we looking for?

SOS Health is committed to building local capacity in the communities in which we work and providing pathways for people from the local community to become the healthcare providers and leaders in their own community. Therefore, our preference would be to employ Palm Island locals in these 2 Allied Health Assistant roles. However, if you have close connection with indigenous culture and a passion to be involved in improving indigenous health, we would love to hear from you also.

We are looking for two Allied Health Assistants who will be:

  • Well connected into the community
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication and relationship skills
  • Highly motivated and reliable, with a commitment to people improving their health
  • Strongly aligned with the values and mission of SOS Health Foundation.

If you are a certificate III or IV qualified Allied Health Assistant and one of these roles sounds like something you would be great at, we want to talk with you.
