The Telecross Volunteer Caller saves lives by making telephone calls to Red Cross clients from the Clarence Valley area at a prearranged time. The role also includes advising Red Cross if clients do not respond to phone calls. Calls are made from the volunteer’s home.

The program

Red Cross supports vulnerable members of the community to be more independent, to improve their wellbeing and social connection in order to remain living in their local community.

The opportunity

This role suits someone over the age of 18 who is a good listener and can maintain strict confidentiality of information obtained during a call.
