RIAC is a not for profit organisation operating throughout central and north western Victoria, Geelong and southern NSW, providing information, advocacy and NDIS appeals support to individuals, families, carers and communities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate person to fill our Access and Support Officer role in our Mildura Office.
This position requires a dynamic, energetic and dedicated individual focussed on performance and who will form part of the Access and Support Program in the Mallee region of Victoria.
Mandatory Community Service qualification and a high IT skill level are required for this role.
The Access and Support Officer will play a key role in maintaining and developing effective links with specific communities and individuals. They will work with participants to achieve improved access for them through the provision of episodic support at key stages of the care pathway as the client navigates the service system.
The incumbent will also have specific responsibilities for promotion and education within the community and will have a range of reporting and administrative responsibilities that are required for RIAC’s quality assurance purposes and to meet funding body arrangements. The incumbent will be predominantly working within the CALD community however will also work within other diversity areas such as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, the LGBTI community and Veterans. The incumbent will also support participants in areas of homelessness, financial hardship, NDIS access and support, frail aged service provision, social disadvantage.
