About the position

The position primarily involves supporting people assessed with mental health needs to access further support through the NDIS. The position requires the applicant to have the ability to engage with the client and relevant stakeholders to gather evidence of support need to successfully complete access request forms for the NDIS. Additional duties also involve provision of therapeutic assessments and intervention relevant to the applicant’s area of expertise.

  • Appointment to this position requires proof of tertiary degree qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia or working towards accreditation. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • For Occupational Therapists: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required.
  • For Dieticians: Registration as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) is required.
  • For Social Workers: The possession of a tertiary degree in Social Work providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers is required.
  • For Psychologists: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required. The possession of an Australian Psychological Society (APS) accredited postgraduate qualification in clinical psychology and/or an endorsement in clinical psychology would be highly regarded
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a registered roadworthy vehicle
  • Smart phone to be used for work purposes
  • Positive Notice Card, or ability to acquire
