This role is exciting and challenging, but the rewards are great! You will have the opportunity to support Young People who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness by providing them safe and secure emergency accommodation and support through case planning. This role also ensures young people have information and assistance in obtaining alternative secure and affordable accommodation; are made aware of all the options available to them including family reconciliation, education, training and employment.
You will be a part of the Young People's care, by providing them with safe and secure emergency accommodation and assistance in obtaining alternative accommodation.
You will be supporting their individual needs and creating a safe living environment. You will also be part of developing, implementing and monitoring their individual plans. This includes the maintenance of progress notes and reports. You will also provide professional referral’s and services in relation to living skills, education and training, and access to the private market.
To be eligible for appointment to these positions you must undergo a satisfactory National Police Records Check and an international criminal history check if you have resided continuously in an overseas country for 12 months or more in the last ten years; and a Working with Children Check and hold a current Victorian drivers licence. If you have worked overseas for more than 12 months in the past 10 years, an international police check will be required.
