The Queensland Association of Independent Legal Services (QAILS) is the state-based peak body for Queensland’s community legal centres (CLCs). Queensland CLCs provide a diverse range of free legal advice, law reform advocacy and casework services to tens of thousands of disadvantaged Queenslanders each year, and are an important component of Queensland’s legal and social infrastructure.
QAILS supports and develops community legal centres to provide effective, high quality services to their communities, and leads to unite its members and be a leading voice for social justice.
The Communications and Information Officer is responsible for increasing the profile and understanding of the work of QAILS and Queensland’s community legal centres.
The Communications and Information Officer is responsible through the Director to the QAILS management committee, and works collaboratively with the CLC sector to further the objectives of QAILS.
QAILS is an equal opportunity employer.
