We are looking for a Developmental Educator or Special Needs Teacher preferably with experience working with individuals with autism and intellectual disability. We want you to develop resources to aid in managing problem behaviours and to provide ongoing learning opportunities.
The service is based at present in Magill. We have consultant Behavioural Psychologists and Speech Pathologists on the team. We are also looking for an Occupational Therapist - see advertisement here.
Experience with PODD and Proloquo2Go communication iPad apps and Auslan signing would be of benefit.
We can offer ongoing opportunities for professional development.
We want applicants who are prepared to provide direct support and engagement as well as mentor, coach and train support workers. We want professionals who are excited about practically contributing their skills to deliver real outcomes. We want people who are creative and who will adopt a truly person-centred approach, focusing only on what a good life for each individual could look like rather than 'the way things are ordinarily done'.
We can be very flexible about the days and time of the work. We can offer excellent rates of pay.
