Our Watch is a national, independent not for profit organisation established in 2013 to drive nationwide change in the culture, behaviours and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children. Our vision is an Australia where women and their children live free from all forms of violence. Our mandate is to stop violence before it happens, and our purpose is to provide national leadership to prevent all forms of violence against women and their children. Our work is based on sound research and strong and diverse partnerships.

About the role:

Lead on the implementation of Our Watch’s Preventing Violence against Women in Universities project. This will be a whole of institution model that includes adaption of the Workplace Equality and Respect standards and development of other resources for staff and student engagement.

About you:

Draw on your working experience and tertiary qualification in any of education, health promotion, social or political science, gender studies, community development or other areas of relevant study to develop Our Watch’s approach to primary prevention within Australian universities. Your proven work experience will also encompass gender equality and inclusion, along with project development and management experience, strong stakeholder engagement and partnership skills and familiarity with evidence-based resource development. You will also have a strong knowledge of the prevention of violence against women sector, respectful relationships education practice and knowledge of education systems and/or the Australian university sector.
