Expressions of Interest are being sought from suitably qualified individuals with an interest in serving on the Board of a newly formed native title organisation. Vacancies exist for two Aboriginal Board members to be invited to make up a skills based board of five directors.

Native Title Services Goldfields Limited (NTSG) will officially commence operations in early October 2019 as a not-for-profit provider of native title services for the Aboriginal people of the Goldfields region of Western Australia. The region encompasses a large geographic area including the towns of Kalgoorlie, Menzies, Leonora, Laverton, Norseman, Esperance and their surrounds.

The objective of the NTSG Board is to provide leadership, governance, and oversight of the running of the organisation on behalf of its members. The Board is interested in Aboriginal applicants with expertise in a range of skills and in particular in two broad areas. The first area of expertise is in knowledge and understanding of the Goldfields Aboriginal community, particularly in relation to native title. The second area of highly desirable expertise is in leadership, either in a community context or in a professional role. The positions are voluntary but travel, accommodation and related expenses will be met by NTSG. Where Directors need to take leave from their employer to attend to Board duties NTSG can reimburse forgone wages. Directors are initially appointed for a one-year term and they can be reappointed at the end of the term.
