About us

The South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA), a program of Monash Health, has the responsibility in the Southern and Bayside Regions of the Department of Health and Human Services for:

  • The provision and development of effective services to victim/survivors and associated people affected by sexual assault and family violence
  • The provision and development of effective services for adolescents exhibiting sexually abusive behaviours
  • The provision of public education and professional training on sexual assault and anti-violence issues
  • Social planning and processes related to reducing societal violence

These services are provided in the Southern and Bayside Metropolitan Regions that includes the south-eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula, the Greater Dandenong area and Cardinia and Casey Shires.

The service operates in various locations around the regions including Dandenong, Cranbourne, Pakenham, Seaford, Rosebud, Hastings, South Yarra and East Bentleigh. Crisis Care Units are located at the Clayton Campus of Monash Medical Centre and at the Multidisciplinary Centre in Dandenong South.

In this critical leadership role you will work collaboratively with a dedicated group of people, to lead the development and growth of this high profile service. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded service.

  • Leadership and management of inter-professional teams;
  • Design and implementation of innovative services;
  • Superior communication, influencing and interpersonal skills;
  • Relationship building abilities both internally and externally; and
  • Recognised clinical expertise.

Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association and current AHPRA registration for registered professions are mandatory requirements for this role. Postgraduate qualifications in clinical, research, public health or leadership (or working towards) will be highly regarded.
