About the role

As part of a dedicated team of Mental Health Practitioners, you will be responsible for providing recovery focused mental health services to support people who are accessing NDIS packages.

Duties include:

  • Working within a recovery oriented framework to support and assist customers
  • Supporting customers to identify and achieve their goals, in both a group and individual settings
  • Providing Support Coordination to customers accessing the NDIS
  • Providing information, advice, support and mentoring to assist customers and their families and carers, to access services relevant to their health and social needs
  • Completing required reporting and data entry in a timely manner to support the service

Skills & experience

  • Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Mental Health and/or qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Welfare, Occupational Therapy, Disability or other related field as designated by Mind
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working with people with complex mental health needs in their community
  • An understanding and experience of working within a recovery oriented practice framework
  • Working knowledge and experience of working with NDIS customers
