North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) is Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care within our community. NWMPHN is committed to ensuring that the health and wellbeing of our most vulnerable communities is improved in a coordinated and accountable manner.
NWMPHN is one of two PHNs across Australia leading suicide prevention trials focused on the LGBTIQ community. The trial aims to address the barriers to LGBTIQ people accessing and receiving appropriate mental health and suicide prevention care as well as aiming to build upon protective factors against suicide. We are currently searching for a Program Officer to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement evidence-based strategies to reduce suicide and improve integration of existing services.
This is an exciting time to join our mental health team at NWMPHN and an opportunity to use your skills and expertise to make a difference in your local community.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a National Police Record Check.
Applicants who are LGBTIQ and applicants from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
