  • Hours: Casual. Approximately one event every 2-3 weeks, requiring 7 hours of work per event. Events will be booked approximately 3-6 weeks in advance.

How you will make an impact

You will be delivering a series of public information sessions and workshops covering a suite of practical topics related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. The purpose of these sessions is to help the community reduce their energy bills, make their homes more comfortable and reduce their environmental footprint.

Some of topics:

  • Solar and Batteries – Is now the time to buy?
  • How to make the most of your solar
  • How to save energy in your apartment
  • How to prepare your home for winter/summer
  • How to save energy if you’re renting

Through your excellent presentation and facilitation skills, you’ll be able to share your expertise in renewable energy and energy-efficiency in an engaging and easy to understand manner, inspiring the public to take action and helping us move closer our vision of an equitable zero carbon society.

What you will do

  • Present energy-efficiency and renewable energy workshops to large groups, ranging from 30 to 200 people
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in renewable energy and energy-efficiency
  • Assist Council staff with set-up and pack down of venue
  • Follow up with attendees via email
  • Data entry into AEF’s CRM

You will have:

  • Strong knowledge in renewable energy and energy-efficiency technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in the use of general office equipment and software.
  • Experience with using Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Willingness to work primarily out of normal working hours on weekends and in the evening
