The role:

The Community Programs Assistant is required to support the work of the existing Community Programs Officers and work closely with all teams in Link Housing to ensure the progress and success of related projects and programs. The role plays an important part in wider information sharing/dissemination to their colleagues in Link Housing and the resident population.

Main deliverables of the role will include:

  • Co-ordinate and manage identified, new and existing programs within designated time-frames
  • Undertake regular analysis of the Link Housing resident population
  • Support and implement community and partnership development programs
  • Organise and manage regular meetings with residents, support providers and stakeholders to discuss progress on projects and programs
  • Engage with employees, support providers and relevant stakeholders to identify needs to ensure effective marketing and targeting of appropriate residents
  • Partner with other organisations who provide services to support our tenants’ development and record success

Who we are looking for:

This role is varied and requires a person who has:

  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Minimum one year's experience in relationship management and/or community development, engagement and sustainment
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve organisational objectives
  • Ability to plan, organise and coordinate to a high standard
  • Highly collaborative approach, partnering skills and the ability to gain support and cooperation from others
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
