About the role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in promoting the independence of our clients (which includes people with disability and aged clients) to remain living independently at home through the provision of social support, domestic assistance and personal care.

Individual shifts range between 1 to 2 hours, ideal for candidates seeking additional casual work, work during school hours or Tafe/University students. We are able to offer flexible hours to suit your own personal circumstances and the quantity can be rostered to suit you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support to clients through the implementation of individual support plans
  • Social support and transportation including transport to medical appointments, grocery shopping and social appointments.
  • Personal care including showering, grooming and dressing assistance
  • Housekeeping and domestic assistance including cooking, household cleaning and laundry assistance
  • Administering basic first aid and manual handling as required

Skills & experience:

  • A current Certificate III in Community Services or the willingness to complete within 2 years
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence
  • Reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for supporting and promoting the individual needs of our clients

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record check and Working with Vulnerable People check.
