About the role

The Lifestyle Supports Manager (LSM) - Disability is accountable for ensuring that customers receive lifestyle supports that reflect their Service Agreements.  The LSM- Disability does this by engaging with clients, families, guardians and other key stakeholders so as to facilitate a cohesive, quality and inclusive range of supports that reflect the clients individual needs and goals.

The LSM takes a leadership role in organising, supervising and coaching support workers around a client or group of clients. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within relevant legislation, LWB policy and procedures and the National Disability Service Standards.
  • An excellent understanding of the principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant legislation
  • Ensure that Lifestyle Supports services are delivered which reflects the customer’s Service Agreement with LWB
  • Provide guidance, supervision and support to direct support staff
  • Model appropriate conflict resolution, communication and positive behaviour management skills.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Cert IV or equivalent in Disability, Mental health or Community and Social Services or equivalent experience
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • An excellent understanding of the principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to build a shared understanding of, and commitment to the organisation’s Purpose and Values
  • The ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with a range of stakeholders including customers, peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
