About the role

Reporting to the Manager Quality, Audit and Risk and working with the broader Practice and Quality team you will  manage, monitor and improve and incident reporting and management systems to deliver timely, accurate and complete information to staff, clients and stakeholders ensuring we comply with relevant legislation, standards and contracts.

This is a 2 year maximum term contract, based in either Sydney CBD, Newcastle NSW, Richmond VIC or Shailer Park QLD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Incident Management to achieve the business plan outcomes
  • Monitor, coach, support, motivate and develop team members to deliver to the best of their ability
  • Deliver incident management system business benefits through ownership and change leadership
  • Manage, monitor and improve the incident reporting and management system including:
    • Provide subject expertise to Client Services
    • Clarify incident management roles and responsibilities with staff and managers
    • Identify and allocate critical incident managers to support Client Services among the practice and quality network
    • Manage requests for system/process changes
    • Provide guidance to the business to ensure the Incident Reporting and Management System meets current and future requirements
  • Provide timely and accurate decision support about incident management for Executive Team
  • Develop, monitor and improve incident management practice via training, process and practice reviews and engagement with business users

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary level qualifications in business, management, Human Services or relevant field
  • Significant experience in Leading the Incident Management function
  • Demonstrated experience in seeking and understanding end user business requirements and translate into effective and efficient solutions.
  • Experience leading organisation wide signature processes to contribute to good governance and effective risk management
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibility
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies
  • Proven problem solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically
  • Excellent written communication skills and demonstrated experience in preparing reports, correspondence and other written material
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
