About the role

We are looking for a Home and Garden Maintenance Officer to join our growing Aged Care team to provide maintenance and repairs to residential properties of our elderly clients, to assist them to remain living safely within their own home.
You will be able to work alongside a strong Aged Care team to assist you to build the Home and Garden Maintenance program, with this growth will be additional hours available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of maintenance and other general duties, to both residential and commercial buildings, in a safe manner and ensuring LWB safety procedures and processes are followed at all times. This includes, but not limited to:
    • changing of light bulbs, changing washers and hanging pictures, replacing door handles, window screens, minor painting
    • remove all rubbish and take to the local rubbish tip
    • remove graffito
  • Provide regular lawn mowing and garden maintenance, pruning, weeding and garden bed care for LWB properties, including client's homes.
  • Liaise with Property and HSE teams to perform routine inspections of properties to maintain tenancy requirements as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with the development of maintenance schedules and implement maintenance schedules
  • Adhere to all procedures relating to the expenditure of petty cash and property and or client related expenses related to work tasks
  • Complete and file all associated documentation on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Assist in the relocation of accommodation clients and prepare properties for 'handover' to real estate agents 

Skills & Experience

  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid Qualification
  • Current White Card from WorkSafe 

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
