About the role

Based in our Newcastle Head Office, support the Director, Disability and Aged Care NSW/ACT in coordinating projects, events and meetings whilst also researching, preparing and writing papers for the Executive.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Research, prepare and write a range of papers
  • Monitor the implementation of Strategic and Business Plans and report on the achievement of timelines, budgets and outcomes
  • Lead key organisation projects as required on behalf of the Director, including the provision of project reporting
  • Coordinate and collate organisational reporting providing analysis and summary to Executive
  • Email management
  • Prepare communications for both internal and external audiences
  • Manage calendar, travel and accommodation in a proactive and high quality way
  • Ensure integrity and control in how the Director’s office is managed relating to administration, correspondence and expenses and any other administrative or organisational matters.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience supporting a Director or senior Leader
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination and management
  • Demonstrated experience in research, analysis of data and provision of information
  • Experience in identifying priorities and working to competing deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Advanced and proven problem solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
