About the role

This is a full time, permanent position based in our Newcastle Head Office. In this role you will work with the Financial Accounting team to support the accurate and timely delivery of our Group financial accounts and support the Financial Compliance team in the delivery of our internal audit program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and posting of invoices and, journals
  • Reconciling general ledger balance sheet accounts
  • Reconciling client packages with general ledger information
  • Completing internal audit testing
  • Assisting Corporate Support areas in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Assisting with the Preparing FBT, BAS and external audit submissions

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or related field
  • Previous experience in an accounting role Previous application of accounting principles and standards
  • Previous experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • The ability work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
