Behavioural Health Programs is a large multidisciplinary team consisting of Alcohol other Drug (AOD) treatment services and a range of counselling services including Generalist; Women’s and Children’s Family Violence Counselling, Financial Counselling and Gamblers Help Therapeutic Counselling. Other programs include Refuge Nursing, Settlement Services and Family Violence Perpetrator Programs.
The role of the Care & Recovery Worker is to seek to implement and support integrated treatment and care pathways for high risk, complex clients within alcohol and drug treatment services.
The program implements and facilitates a coordinated, strengths based, person centered approach which is individually tailored to the person’s needs. You will be involved in supporting meaningful involvement from the person and their family in care coordination and goal setting to maximize opportunities for greater social and economic participation.
A ‘wrap around’ service model is a key component of the care and recovery program.
