This is an exciting opportunity to work in Kija country in the Northern Kimberley in Western Australia. 

Kija country covers a vast area and comprises stunning tablelands, gorges and ravines, vast plains and amazing fresh water springs and waterholes. This area is home to the Kija people who have a strong connection to their ancestral land and culture, and today live across a number of communities in the region including the main community of Warmun.

The Kija Ranger Coordinator will take a lead role in growing the capacity and capabilities of the Kija ranger team, raise additional funding streams and progressing work on Healthy Country planning. You will work closely with a variety of partners including the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions, the Department of Prime Minister and cabinet, pastoralists, state NRM, WWF and many others. You will be reporting to and receive guidance from the KLC North & East Program Manager and Kija’s Healthy Country Advisory Committee (HCAC).
