About Inspired Adventures

Inspired Adventures is a B-Corp certified fundraising agency, working with Australian and international charities to create and manage fundraising events around the world. We are a close-knit, hardworking team who share the love of adventure, fundraising and doing good! Our office is based in Surry Hills, close to public transport.

The role

We are seeking an energetic and hardworking Fundraising Coordinator in an entry-level position. The Fundraising Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our international charity challenges with a focus on participant support and pre-departure management.

The role is designed to ensure that participants have a positive engagement with Inspired Adventures from making the initial inquiry to completion of their adventure and that they are supported in raising vital funds for their chosen charity.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the relationship between Inspired Adventures and our challenge event participants, ensuring excellence in service.
  • Fundraising support and adventure management.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough database records of communication.
  • Conducting all internal and external business relationships in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Working collaboratively within the team and supporting the Campaign Managers across their projects to ensure the smooth running of all campaigns.
  • Coordinate and host participant events such as conference calls, dinners, training treks, workshops and charity visits.

Selection criteria:

The Fundraising Coordinator must be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent phone manner and email etiquette.
  • Strong organisational skills, allowing effective support for Campaign Managers in the coordination of the campaigns.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to build rapport with participants and clients when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Upbeat attitude and flexibility to take on new tasks.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Competence in current office systems for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Empathy with the mission and goals of the not for profit sector, its objectives, opportunities, and limitations.
  • Alignment with the values and mission of Inspired Adventures and a commitment to its growth.

The following will be looked upon favourably:

  • Experience in face-to-face marketing, fundraising, or donor stewardship.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector or have personally fundraised before.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
