An exciting, challenging and motivating opportunity has arisen for an empathetic, dedicated, committed and visionary community professional to grow the Les Twentyman Foundation as CEO. The Foundation, established in 1989, is a not for profit community organisation based in Melbourne's outer west whose purpose is to provide crucial positive support programs and services for at-risk young people and their families. Services include education support, sports and recreation, youth workers in schools, counselling and self-leadership development.
The ideal candidate will be financially astute and experienced in working with a volunteer Board; managing an organisation (17 plus staff); delivering a diverse portfolio of services; successfully raising and sourcing funds and resources to underpin the sustainability, growth and reach of services and programs; have excellent leadership, interpersonal and people management skills as well as strong networking and relationship building skills. An understanding of culturally appropriate engagement and high levels of cross-culture competence is important.
Applicants should preferably have a relevant tertiary qualification in business, community development, social work or related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role or managing a community service organisation. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated. The initial Contract term will be 3 years with an option of a further term by mutual agreement.
