Role:

WEstjustice is seeking to employ a full time Tenancy Lawyer on a one year fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer to join a fast paced and dynamic service.

The Tenancy Lawyer will join the tenancy legal team to undertake work that will improve the lives of vulnerable tenants and help them to engage their tenancy rights. The lawyer will be primarily based at the Werribee office but will be required to operate tenancy clinics at the Werribee and Footscray offices and outreach locations in the city. They will also be required to work at VCAT for attendances in the CBD and Sunshine as the need arises.

The person we are seeking will be admitted to practice with at least two years relevant experience and have the proven ability to relate to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients.

Remuneration:

A salary package of $77,347 – $80,639 per annum pro rata (depending on experience) comprising of cash salary ($70,000 – $73,000pa pro rata), employer funded superannuation in accordance with Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth) and leave loading on annual leave. In addition, generous salary packaging is available (including access to Accommodation and Meal Entertainment packaging).
