Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service (Wurli) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering primary and clinical health care services to the Aboriginal people in Katherine and surrounding communities.
Wurli operates 5 clinics in and around Katherine, providing a range of service including acute and general care; chronic disease; women and children’s health; and men’s health. The organisation prides itself on delivering services to the community in a style and manner that make clients feel welcome and comfortable.
Wurli now has a full-time opportunity for a Registered Aboriginal Health Worker to join their team. This role will be based at one of five Katherine based clinics, with the expectation that you spend your time working between the clinics as required.

Depending on the clinic and / or program you are assigned to, Registered Aboriginal Health Workers may also assess and treat clients, deliver specific health care programs and/or specialise in a particular health care service.
Importantly, RAHW’s bring cultural authority into the organisation and play a pivotal role in providing cultural brokerage between patients and non Indigenous staff.
