Dandenong Day Nursery Inc. is a not for profit community managed children’s services organisation comprising of a long day care, kindergarten, and family Day care services. Our service has been operating in the Greater Dandenong Area for the past 44 years. Our Family Day Care (FDC) program has educators located in the Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Shire of Cardinia areas.

Family Day Care is a service where educators offer care and play based learning programs in their homes to children from 0 - 12 years old. This service allows families, flexible hours and the chance for their children to attend, preschools and playgroups as well as before /after and school holiday care.

Our Family Day care service requires a full time (37.5 hour) resource and support coordinator to work alongside our existing team based at our office in Dandenong North.

As an early childhood professional, you will participate in reflective practice discussions, assisting educators in their homes in all aspects of implementation of the learning frameworks, National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Regulations & Law Act 2010.

You will work collaboratively with educators to monitor children’s development and ensure that each child’s interest drives the program, that each child’s free will, choice and independence (agency) is encouraged.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
  • Good organisational skills and be self-motivated
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in the early childhood sector
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an early childhood educator
  • Knowledge of Harmony software system or other Centrelink interface would be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Regulations & Law Act 2010
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks
  • The ability to support in all administrative areas including the use of technology (computer/smart phone)
  • Current Victoria Drivers License
  • Tertiary qualification in early childhood education (minimum Diploma of Children's Services)
