An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Student Engagement Team in Geelong with DUSA.

DUSA stands for Deakin University Student Association and is the student voice at Deakin University and in the broader community. We provide support, engagement and aim to enhance the Student experience for all students on and off campus.

The Clubs Support Coordinator is a unique and diverse role that is instrumental in assisting and developing University based clubs to engage with students and connect them with DUSA and Deakin services and events.

This hands on role will see you interact with students and key stakeholders to help facilitate all aspects of our DUSA clubs.

More specifically you will:

  • Work with club executives to build the capacity of clubs to deliver activities and events,
  • Respond to queries related to club activity,
  • Ensure compliance of club events with DUSA and Deakin policies,
  • Risk management,
  • Deliver annual training and provide advice,
  • Maintain accurate records both financial and within the database,
  • Assist the greater team with events and activities,
  • And much more.

To be successful in this role you will have a history in club development either professionally or through personal interests or a background in working with youth from your experience in employment or disability services or community development.

Ultimately it will be strong administration skills, passion for working with a variety of stakeholders, knowledge in providing solution based outcomes and developed inter-personal skills in particular assisting students that have complex needs that will guarantee your success.
