This exciting role will provide an opportunity to be part of the newly established Support and Safety Hub which has been created as a recommendation from The Royal Commission into Family Violence and Roadmap for Reform. The Hubs are designed to ensure that women and children are safe from harm and families can easily access the support and information they need. The ‘Hub Team’ will incorporate current Child FIRST services as well as an Enhanced Intake worker to respond to L17s [Police reports to incidents of Family Violence they have attended]. These roles will respond and plan interventions for perpetrators to hold them to account. The Hub will provide services for women, children, young people and older people experiencing family violence, and families in need of support with the care, wellbeing and development of children and young people.
This Team Leader will work collaboratively alongside others in the Hub and at Hume Moreland and be key to developing and facilitating integrated work practices.
The role requires an experienced forward thinking and innovative individual with a flexible approach to supporting staff as well as overseeing and contributing to the provision of a high quality and early intervention intake response service to perpetrators ensuring safety of children, young people and their families, especially those who have experienced Family Violence.
