The Kalumburu Women's Centre consists of two aspects: provision of safe, emergency accommodation for women and accompanying children escaping family and domestic violence, and, provision of a range of activities.
The activities will include education both formal and informal around family and domestic violence, activities to address the harmful effects of family and domestic violence incorporating physical, social, emotional, cultural and spiritual wellbeing needs, and, recreational and diversional activities for young people at risk.
The Manager will be required to support the Centre Coordinator at Kalumburu for up to 80 hours per month (flexibility & FIFO) and provide relief support whilst the Coordinator is on leave (est 9 weeks per year).
One return flight per month (from Darwin or Kununurra) will be provided plus travel for relief work. This is a flexible arrangement subject to requirements and the right candidate.
