Urban Agriculture Facilitator

  • Band 6 $87,105.55 - $94,943.91 pro rata + Super

Are you passionate about local food systems and highly motivated to drive their development in Yarra? Are you a highly-organised operator with the ability to work with range of stakeholders to deliver effective Council projects and programs? If so, the Urban Agriculture Facilitator role might be for you.

A fantastic opportunity exists to join the Waste Minimisation and Urban Agriculture Team within the City Works Branch at the City of Yarra. Council has recently adopted its new Urban Agriculture Strategy for 2019-2023 and we’re looking for the right person to help us deliver and accelerate its work.

In this role you will partner with and influence various internal and external stakeholders to achieve the successful planning and delivery of the Urban Agriculture Action Plan; have an opportunity to be exposed to diverse range of projects across the unit; work closely with community organisations; and contribute to a range of initiatives that will make a real difference to the Yarra community.

To be successful in this role, you will have subject area knowledge and expertise as well as demonstrated community engagement, program design and project management skills.
