Camp Quality believes every Australian child impacted by cancer should have every opportunity to thrive. We do this by providing innovative programs and services to develop life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of children aged 0 – 13 growing up with cancer, and their families. We support families no matter where they live in Australia, throughout each stage of their cancer journey.

About the Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest in an exciting Program Coordinator role for our Tasmania and Victoria regions. Using your previous events and/or project management experience, you will coordinate the delivery of all recreation programs and positively engage and support families who have a child impacted by cancer.

This hands-on role will see you develop the program calendar, organise the logistics for all programs (including camps), as well as manage the recruitment and training of program volunteers.

About You

To be successful in this position, it is preferable that you have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience developing and managing recreation programs, or similar;
  • Previous event and/or project management experience;
  • Previous experience working with volunteers or management experience;
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities ensuring deadlines are met;
  • A demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to manage the sensitivities of families from diverse cultural backgrounds;
  • High level computer and computer administration skills;
  • A certificate in project management, health, allied health, community services or related area; and
  • Experience within a NFP organisation or in the health sector particularly working with families affected by serious illnesses will be highly regarded.
