Bush Heritage is a national, not-for-profit organisation that either buys and manages high-conservation value land, or partners with Aboriginal people to support their programs to keep country healthy.
This amazing role looks after Charles Darwin Reserve and guides the development of partnerships in the region. You will implement the Reserve Management Plan that include activities such as feral animal control, weed control, soil conservation, community engagement, monitoring and research, fire control measures, and infrastructure and plant maintenance. You will build healthy, positive and productive stakeholder relationships, especially with volunteers, Traditional Owners, research institutions and the local community.
You will have a passion for working with people and have a sound understanding of land management along with demonstrated experience in project management and working in remote locations. You will have experience in respecting, listening to and supporting Traditional Owner knowledge and interests for looking after country. You are confident in collaborating with ecologists and research partners and leading field trips in remote environments to support projects. In addition, you will have strong computer literacy, and capability in maintaining and operating infrastructure plant and equipment.
